What is included

What this care covers

Family and internal medicine is the care you keep coming back to. It covers what is happening today and what you manage over years.

  • Routine visits, yearly physicals, and health questions as they come up
  • Ongoing conditions such as diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, and thyroid
  • Prescriptions, refills, and a review of everything you take
  • Blood work, urinalysis, and EKG done here rather than sent out
  • Referrals to specialists, with your results following you
  • Follow-up after a hospital stay or an emergency room visit
  • Screening guidance based on your age, history, and risk
  • Records requested from a previous provider so nothing starts over
In plain language

What family medicine and internal medicine mean for you

Family medicine covers the whole person over time: your routine health, the conditions you live with, and the new problem you did not expect. Internal medicine concentrates on adult medicine and on the chronic conditions adults manage as they get older.

Here the two names together describe scope, not two board certifications. Prime Medical is a nurse practitioner practice, built on family medicine training and limited to adult patients. Day to day that means something simple: your yearly checkup and the blood pressure you have managed for a decade are handled by the same provider, in the same clinic, with no handoff in between.

The practical version is simple. This is the clinic you call first, for almost anything, and the one that keeps the whole picture of your health in one place.

How it works

How your care works here

From booking your first visit to knowing when to come back.

  1. Book your visit

Book online through our secure system, or call the clinic. Tell us you are a new patient so we can set aside the extra time.

  2. Your first appointment

Nathaly takes your full history, reviews your medications, and examines you. This visit runs longer than a follow-up, on purpose.

  3. Labs and EKG during your visit

If you need blood work or an EKG, it is done here while you are in the clinic. No second trip, and no waiting on an outside lab to send results.

  4. Your plan and your follow-up

Before you leave you get a clear plan and a next step. Results and messages reach you through the patient portal, and your next visit is with Nathaly again.

Before you book

Questions patients ask

  • Do I need a referral to be seen?

No. You can book directly with us. Some insurance plans ask you to name a primary care provider first, and we can walk you through that step over the phone.

  • Can you manage my diabetes and my prescriptions?

Yes. Ongoing conditions and the medications that go with them are the core of this practice. Nathaly reviews everything you take, adjusts what needs adjusting, and handles your refills.

  • Can you get my records from my previous doctor?

Yes. Bring the name and phone number of your previous provider and we will request your records. Bring any recent lab or test results you already have with you.

  • Do you see patients without insurance?

Yes. We see self-pay patients, and we will tell you what your visit costs before you come in rather than after.

  • Do you see children?

No. We care for adults 19 and older. If you need a provider for someone younger, call us and we will point you to a pediatric practice in the area.

  • How often should I be seen?

If you are generally healthy, once a year for your checkup. If you are managing something like diabetes or high blood pressure, usually every three to six months. Nathaly will tell you what makes sense for you.
