Labs, Diagnostics & Procedures
Blood work, EKG and minor procedures done here in the clinic in Miami, during the visit you are already at, so you are not sent across town and back for them.
We care for adults 19 and older
What we do on site
Done during your appointment rather than referred out and waited on.
- Blood work drawn here, including the panels your visit or an outside form calls for
- Urinalysis, done and read in the clinic
- EKG performed on site and read by your provider the same visit
- Point-of-care testing, for results you need before you leave
- PPD tuberculosis skin testing, placed here and read here
- Minor office procedures performed in the clinic rather than referred out
- Referrals for imaging, with the order sent and the reason explained
- Results reaching the provider who ordered them, and reaching you through the patient portal
What changes when the lab is in the building
Many clinics write an order and send you somewhere else to have blood drawn. That means a second trip, a second wait, a second front desk, and days between the visit where the question came up and the result that answers it. For anyone working shifts or depending on someone else for a ride, the second trip is often the one that does not happen.
Here the draw happens at the same appointment, and point-of-care testing means some results are read while you are still in the room rather than sent out at all. Everything else goes out and comes back to the provider who ordered it, alongside the rest of your record instead of as a page of numbers with no context.
The practical version: fewer trips, faster answers, and the person reading your results is the person who knows why they were ordered.
How testing works here
Ordered, done and explained without a second trip.
What you need is ordered
During your visit, based on what you came in for. If an outside form requires a specific panel, bring the form with you.
Done during your visit
Blood draw, urinalysis or EKG in the clinic, at the same appointment rather than on a separate trip.
Results reviewed
By the provider who ordered them, alongside the rest of your record rather than in isolation.
What happens next
Results reach you through the patient portal, with what they mean and whether anything needs to change.

Questions patients ask
Do I need to fast?
For some blood work, yes. Tell us what you are coming in for and we will tell you when to stop eating, so you do not make the trip twice.
How fast do results come back?
Point-of-care tests are read during your visit. Most blood work comes back within a few days and reaches you through the patient portal.
Can you run labs my other doctor ordered?
Bring the order and we will tell you whether we can draw it here and where the results are sent. Some panels have to go to a specific lab under your plan.
Do you do ultrasound or X-ray here?
No. Imaging is referred out. We send the order, explain what it is for, and the results come back to us.
What is an EKG for?
It records the electrical activity of your heart and takes a few minutes. It is used for symptoms such as chest pain or palpitations, and it is often required on a pre-operative or DOT form.
How do I get my results?
Through the patient portal. If something needs to change because of a result, we call you rather than waiting for you to check.
